Obsidian Integration
Sync your Obsidian vault into Outrun. Connect notes, documents, and your linked knowledge graph so AI agents can search and reference your personal knowledge base.
A tool loved by the Outrun team. Sometimes, however much we’d like to, other developers don’t give us the tools to build native integrations — Obsidian Sync is end-to-end encrypted with no API by design. So instead of waiting, we’re sharing our play for making it work. We think Obsidian used in a workflow like this provides an excellent interface for growing the knowledge of your agents. We use it ourselves.
Your knowledge base, ready for AI
Vault sync via GitHub
Use the Obsidian Git plugin to push your vault to a GitHub repo. Outrun syncs it automatically on every push.
Notes as documents
Every markdown file in your vault becomes a searchable document. Frontmatter, tags, and links are all preserved.
AI-searchable
Once synced, your notes feed into Outrun’s knowledge base. Agents can reference them to answer questions and drive workflows.
How it works
Install Obsidian Git
Add the Obsidian Git community plugin to your vault and connect it to a GitHub repository.
Connect GitHub to Outrun
Add your vault repo as a GitHub source in Outrun. Set the file filter to .md.
Outrun syncs automatically
Every time Obsidian Git pushes to GitHub, Outrun picks up the changes and updates your knowledge base.
Use in workflows and agents
Attach the knowledge base to any AI agent or workflow so it can search your notes and take action.
